I’m a seasoned DevOps engineer with over two years of experience orchestrating seamless software delivery pipelines within the AWS cloud environment. I bring a rich professional background, having transitioned from finance to business development in a marine-tech startup to managing a marine business before embracing my passion for DevOps.
Throughout my journey, I have played a pivotal role in driving IT growth for the companies I’ve served. My expertise lies in crafting scalable, fault-tolerant, cost-effective, and secure solutions by leveraging a comprehensive range of AWS services and mastering the latest DevOps tools and technologies.
Areas of Expertise:
AWS Cloud:
- Design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable infrastructure on AWS.
- Select appropriate services based on compute, data, and security requirements.
- Manage user identity, permissions, and security in the cloud.
- Utilize EBS, EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, EFS file systems, Auto Scaling, ELBs, and more.
Infrastructure Automation:
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible and Terraform.
- Write and implement playbooks, manage Ansible hosts, and troubleshoot automation issues.
- Utilize Terraform to define infrastructure as code and deploy applications on Kubernetes.
Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD):
- Configure and manage Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
- Integrate Github repositories with Jenkins for continuous integration.
Containerization:
- Install and configure Docker services, run applications on containers, and manage multiple applications using Docker Compose.
Linux Administration:
- Administer RHEL 6 and 7 systems with proficiency in shell scripting, scripting languages (Python), and common commands (for loop, while loop, if conditions, sed, awk).
